Scope
This policy covers personal information collected through the FundFetch website (fundfetch.com.au) and the FundFetch Finder, including the MCP server used by integrated AI clients. It does not cover third-party websites linked from FundFetch, including the issuer source domains the finder links to.
What we collect
- Account information, name, email, practice name, AFSL identifier (where provided), and a hashed password.
- Usage data, pages viewed, searches run, document records opened, favourites kept. Aggregated and anonymised where possible.
- Technical data, IP address, device type, browser, timestamps. Used for security, logging, and debugging.
- Communications, anything you send to us via email, the contact form, or the phone line.
We do not collect financial information from your clients through FundFetch. The platform doesn't handle client advice data.
How we use it
- To operate, maintain, and improve the finder.
- To authenticate your account and protect the platform.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To send service notices (e.g. a new feature, a planned maintenance window). We don't sell or rent your data to third parties.
When we disclose
FundFetch may disclose personal information:
- To service providers strictly necessary to operate the platform (hosting, error tracking, transactional email).
- Where required by law, court order, or regulator request.
- With your consent.
We don't send your data overseas as part of normal operations. Where a vendor processes data outside Australia, we'll disclose that here and ensure equivalent protections apply.
Storage & security
FundFetch is hosted on Australian infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, and we follow the principle of least privilege internally. No system is unbreakable; we keep our perimeter and our response practices honest.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing.
- Make a complaint. Contact us first; if we can't resolve it you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
